Job Description:
Since 1870 we've been making malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, we continue that work in 4 countries, across 7 maltings with a specific emphasis on supplying distilleries and craft breweries. In 2023, Richardson International Limited successfully acquired Crisp Malt, welcoming all our employees into its wider group of companies across Canada, the US, and Europe.

We currently have an opportunity for a Weighbridge Operator at our Great Ryburgh site.. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the site team to ensure grain quality at intake through accurate testing of raw materials. 
• Cover weighbridge operations, including inputting tickets from the previous day. 
• Assist in loading and dispatching finished malt products and feed. 
• Conduct sample testing at various stages and maintain sample storage. 
• Work with the Intake Manager to maintain and calibrate weighbridge equipment regularly. 
• Support administrative tasks, including cleaning schedules and shift handover documents. 
• Perform thorough checks on incoming raw material deliveries, ensuring testing aligns with pre-determined specifications and identifying any potential food safety risks. 
• Maintain cleanliness in the weighbridge area to comply with health and food safety regulations. 

Qualifications: 

• Relevant weighbridge and/or Laboratory experience. 
• Collaborative team player and able to work independently. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting process timings and quality standards. 
• Flexible regarding working hours. 
• Strong communication skills for building effective working relationships. 
• Full, clean UK driving licence. 
• Forklift licence is considered an asset.
