This position is located in (Lima, Ohio, U.S.A.) and is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
  • Define the priorities, commitments, and expectations of operations
  • Lead, participate, and facilitate the departmental safety and environmental efforts, programs, and regulatory compliance ensuring employee understanding of these areas
  • Ensure, support, and drive continuous improvement with Process Safety Management (PSM) such as MOC’s, PSSR’s, PHA’s, Procedure reviews, emergency response drills, etc.
  • Develop and regularly review the operations budget versus plan and ensure appropriate reporting of the results, as well as identifying issues that could impact goal attainment
  • Interface regularly with local and corporate stakeholders (Sales, T&D, etc.) to determine production needs, shipment requirements, and customer complaints
  • Drive improvements in the process units reliability through programs such as vulnerabilities and Operator Driven Reliability, product quality, and the on-time shipment of products
  • Direct unit maintenance priorities and ensure the proper coordination of maintenance repair activities including turnarounds
  • Oversee hiring, performance management, development, and motivation of all Production employees
  • Conduct performance appraisals on direct reports and set goals and objectives for their job performance and professional development
  • Represent the Lima Facility in a manner that will support the site and promote positive community relationships
  • Facilitate collaborative efforts with the Engineering departmental activities for process de-bottlenecking, process optimizations, and capital improvement projects
  • Act as a key contributor for capital budget development
  • Ensure the ongoing training and development of the Shift Supervisors and Operating Technicians, in addition to the departments Operator Certification Program
  • Interact and coordinate well with all levels of department personnel, other site department personnel, contactors, local regulatory officials, and local community members
  • Assist in process designs including equipment specifications, operating instructions and training, process P&ID’s, and Management of Change
  • Represent Operations team as a member of the facility management team
  • All other duties as assigned
What you will bring:
    Bachelor Science degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution preferred10 plus years of experience in operations or related areas of manufacturing or similar industry5 years in supervision10 years or more plant experience in continuous chemical processing plant or refinery is a strong plusExcellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, facilitation skills, computer skills, and ability to achieve results through othersFlexible, analytical, and detail oriented attitudeAbility to manage multiple priorities at one timeWillingness to work extended hours, particularly during plant outagesWillingness to participate on corporate teams and assist other locations
