This is a summer internship which will last approximately 12 weeks.
What you will do:
Industrial engineering projects in the following areas: petroleum and chemical storage tanks, pipelines, maritime infrastructure, electrical, and digital automation and monitoring systems
Learn accounting and financial aspects of project management
Learn project management including estimates, schedules, design, and supervision of implementation
Learn coordination of resources to include contractors
Learn to manage collaborative efforts between cross functional work groups in a fast-paced environment
Participate in department activities and meetings
Will be assigned 1 -2 projects to follow through to completion and provide a final report presentation with plant management
Other duties as directed
What you will bring:
Active pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Engineering; course of study in the discipline of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Chemical is preferred
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Must be willing to exercise engineering knowledge gained through studies and learn “real world” applications
Must be a self-starter, energetic, and proactive
Must be able to work with personnel at all levels, both within the company and outside
Ability to work in an office environment and field work (outside).
Ability to do some climbing and lifting
Ability to wear PPE at all times while in the plant
Ability to obtain a TWIC card
