What you will do:
    Ensure all assigned projects, work and work activity meet PotashCorp, site, applicable code and regulatory requirements for Safety, Health and Environmental
  • Participate in Plant Continuous Improvement efforts by supporting Best Practice Maintenance and Reliability efforts
  • Execute work performance in a manner that meets the premises for cost, delivery and function/production/qualityLiaison with project stakeholders, both internal and external to White Springs and PotashCorpCoordinate the work of internal and external resources, identifying and qualifying these resources as neededProvide required engineering to recommend and implement modifications to existing equipment, including scope, estimate, procurement, construction/installation, and start-up troubleshootingProvide a high level of engineering skills – technical, leadership and/or managerial – to individuals, departments, teams and initiativesProvide training and development opportunities for maintenance employees through scheduling of in-plant seminars and conducting seminarsPerform analyses of major equipment failures with follow-up of corrective action recommendationsParticipate in quality control of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) programs to assure the highest quality maintenance of equipmentPrepare contract bid documents and work with Materials Management for bid meetings, reviews and awards to safely and cost effectively use outside resources for project construction and installationTrack, control and forecast maintenance spending and timing. Provide regular updates on activities to project stakeholders and customers
  • Serve as a technical and engineering resource across White Springs for maintenance and non-project related activities, keeping skills, knowledge and abilities current with continual learning and education
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor/Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program, preferably in the Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil discipline
  • Previous Project Engineering experience in a mining or chemical, heavy industry work environmentThorough understanding of technical codes and standards, potentially in multiple disciplines, as in typical use at PCS Phosphate – White Springs. Examples are ASME, API, ISA, NEC and NFPA
  • Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Office programs. Experience/exposure with CMMS, CAD, ERP or project tracking software is desirable
