Reporting to Senior Director, Innovation and Product Development.
What you will do:
  • Contribute to product development opportunities to optimize Nutrien's innovation portfolio, gain access to new technologies, and accelerate commercialization efforts through acquisition, development agreements and other commercial partnerships
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to collect data and accurate information for consideration in financial analysis and business case development
  • Develop a strong understanding of the innovation and new product landscape across the crop nutrient industry
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry technologies partners and counter-parties
  • Maintain, develop and enhance financial models
  • Generate industry research and opportunity analysis
  • Develop presentation materials for senior management and leadership
  • Ad hoc business/market analysis and reports
What you will bring:
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, commerce or engineering
  • Professional designation (P. Eng, CPA, CFA) or MBA
  • 4+ years of related and progressive work experience with a track record of success
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry, particularly a strong comprehension of Nutrien and its peers’ businesses and strategies would be considered an asset
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power-Point and Word applications
  • Experience is designing and utilizing financial models
  • Exceptional analytical acumen with the capacity to identify, scope and solve complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented team environment, and interface with various levels of management and leadership
  • Flexible to work extended hours to meet project time-lines
  • Project management experience would be considered an asset
