Incumbent will report to the Superintendent within assigned department.
What you will do:
    Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to safety and environmental policiesWork safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA and MARSEC guidelinesUse proper personal protection equipment such as: safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, face shield, flash suits and personal environmental monitorsWork as part of a team to complete assignment and minimize down-timeWork as a productive team member and support continuous improvementCross-training and working in all areas of the facility, as requiredPerform work from elevated structures, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts and man-baskets
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations as set forth by company
What you will bring:
  • High school education, or GED equivalent; post-secondary courses/training is preferred
  • Possess a high-degree of integrity and ownershipAbility to excel in a team environment
  • Ability to perform in a high-performance culture
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both verbal & non-verbal) with a diverse group of peopleAbility to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicalsAbility to read, understand and comply with standards, policies and proceduresBe a self-starter and work with little supervision; willingness to work overtime, as requiredPossess troubleshooting and analytical abilityMust be comfortable and physically capable of entering and working in a confined spaceMust be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communicationsPossess basic computer skills and knowledge-must be familiar with Microsoft office suite
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 4 in Graphic Literacy, 5 on Applied Math and 5 on Workplace Documents in order to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.
    • PLEASE NOTE: The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) must be uploaded with your resume during your application to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.
  • Must pass a pre-employment exam and drug screening
  • Have experience operating mobile equipment including forklifts, man lifts, carry deck cranes, etc.
  • May be required to be clean shaven for safety reasons
  • May be required to work at high elevations and in open spaces such as platforms and/or catwalks
  • May be required to work 12-hour, rotating shifts
  • Must be able to wear required, company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE)--i.e., uniforms, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, emergency breathing apparatus
