Reliability Engineer (Lima, Ohio, U.S.A.)

What you will do:
  • Provide reliability engineering expertise for Nutrien's nitrogen chemical processing plant sites while focusing on safe, environmentally sound, predictable and reliable operation of our sites
  • Develop and implement asset care strategies for key rotating and turbo equipment critical to plant operation and reliability
  • Provide subject matter expertise on steam and gas axial and centrifugal compressor and expander high pressure turbo equipment
  • Lead or participate in bad actor and vulnerability identification, investigation and mitigation
  • Lead or support root cause failure analysis and make corrective action recommendations
  • Lead and participate in failure modes and effects analysis
  • Lead reliability centered maintenance strategies and activities
  • Provide input and support for precision maintenance strategies and activities
  • Provide support and recommendations focused on preventative and predictive maintenance strategy and activity optimization
  • Provide site support and guidance on maintenance/reliability activities such as: work management, bad actor identification and mitigation, vulnerabilities identification and risk management, preventive maintenance optimization, asset criticality ranking activities, condition monitoring practices and optimization, precision maintenance strategy and practices, provide boots on the ground (troubleshooting and technical support), support development and revision of Nutrien technical guidance and standards documents for maintenance and reliability
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring to site maintenance and reliability resources
  • Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
 What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 5 years of experience in project or reliability engineering role in a chemical manufacturing plant, refinery, power plant, or related industrial setting
  • 3 years of experience in coaching and developing maintenance, reliability and operation staff, applying continuous improvement strategies to industrial plant operations, conducting rotating equipment vibration analysis, and managing engineering projects
  • Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 40% of the time to meet business needs
  • May be required to relocate to various unanticipated company sites throughout the US
