Job Summary: The position works with all plant disciplines to continuously improve safety, reliability, and productivity. Daily work will include active engagement in site safety performance (with a focus on process safety), environmental stewardship, waste minimization, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in engineering as well as the ability to develop standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon work completion. This person will be the site technical lead for both Marseilles and Roberts and provide project management activities, as required. This role will be based in Loveland, CO and require >50% travel to the sites this position supports.
What you will do:
Support the implementation of PSM at the sites and project support to improve the design.
Support site Process Safety Management (PSM) Team and maintain all Process Safety Information (PSI) documentation.
Continuously evaluate equipment, process operations and controls to ensure personnel safety, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
Work closely with all disciplines, troubleshooting problems, to ensure plant processes are aligned to provide maximum output levels and efficiencies.
Optimize production by conducting tests, monitoring performances, and compiling de-bottleneck studies to identify cost saving opportunities.
Design plant and equipment configurations to be readily adapted to suit the product ranges and the process technologies involved, taking safety, environmental and economic aspects into account.
Provide control system designs, specifications, programming, system testing, and start-up assistance, as required.
Maintain engineering records including creating and modifying Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and supporting development of operations and maintenance standard operating procedures.
Install and commission new equipment, including project management from the design phase through commissioning start-up. This includes managing contractors and documenting all change orders.
Support new product development from trial through to commercialization and improving production lines.
Keep abreast of current engineering trends, practices, developments, and regulatory changes, which could impact processes and products.
Complete special projects as needed and any other tasks assigned to support business continuity and growth

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred10+ years industrial processing or equivalent engineering experience desiredLogic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Automation Direct, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromat or Toshiba is highly desiredExperience with 2D CAD programs such as AutoCAD or Solid Works is desiredA specific background or knowledge of chemical processingProject Management experience working with Contractors Ability to work in a Safety First, drug free work environment - required to pass the Drug & Alcohol Testing
