Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for performing duties in receiving, warehousing and shipping of farm supplies, on assigned shifts. This role requires regular and ongoing direct contact with customers in the delivery of high quality service.
What you will do:
    Plans and co-ordinates the proper warehousing of productChecks for damaged articles, quality and quantity and records quantities received and reports to manager/supervisor with regard to damaged items and shortagesOperates and services equipment used in the movement of farm supplies Operates by industry regulations in the handling and storage of farm supplies and completes related documentationDraws farm supplies from stock to fill customer ordersMakes deliveries or assists with the co-ordination of shipment with the transportation organizationAssists in the identification of blending opportunitiesCompletes farm supply shipping documentation and co-ordinates warehouse space with shipping and receivingMaintains farm supply product condition by turning and monitoringConducts regular inventory checksAssists in the development, implementation and maintenance of a positive image program at the branchParticipates in local community activitiesPromotes the services of the facilityKeeps the manager informed of levels of existing stockComplies with all Nutrien Ag Solutions’ and Industry regulatory and safety standards at all timesKeeps facilities and grounds clean and tidy, well maintained, and free of fire hazardsCarries out a regular preventative maintenance program and conducts minor repairsMaintains stock control recordsPerforms other related duties as required
What you will bring:
    Effective communication and time management skillsOne year operational experience preferred with demonstrated equipment operations and maintenance skillsGrade 12 or recognized equivalentAbility to achieve warehousing license, WHMIS, TDGDemonstrated high level of customer serviceDemonstrated knowledge of modern farm practices and industry regulationsDemonstrated ability to develop good working relationshipsDemonstrated ability to meet and deal with the public effectivelyProven ability to work independentlyMechanical operation and maintenance experience requiredDemonstrated physical ability to perform the functions of the job including good eyesight and color perceptionMinimum of basic computer competency
