The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of Nufarm brands within South Eastern Saskatchewan via account management, relationship development, technical support and after sales service.  Our tight knit sales team is empowered to make decisions and work autonomously but when needed has the full support of the entire sales team.  Our growing product portfolio is now made up of 80% proprietary products.  Not only is our current portfolio growing but our pipeline for the future is rich with new and novel chemistries.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Develop strong business relationships and communicate sales plans to key regional distributor and retail contacts within the territory.  Identify and focus on sales and agronomy solutions for our dealer partners that make sense in the board room and in the field.  Build business plans, with each key retail account, that are designed to meet retail and Nufarm objectives.

 

  • Help develop and drive grower sales and product strategy while also providing after sales product support to them.

 

  • Identify and act on co-advertising opportunities with select retail partners.  Also conduct retail training focused on Nufarm product solutions.

 

  • Manage Nufarm promotional activities within the territory to meet sales targets while monitoring and staying within your expense budget.

 

  • Participate in the development of the overall sales and marketing plan, to meet sales and marketing goals. Provide timely and accurate reporting to sales managers on performance and development opportunities.

 

  • Account management responsibilities may be required to support the Nufarm business outside of an individual territory in some instances.

 

  • Provide guidance and input for customer account reconciliation.

 

  • Keep customer information up to date in internal CRM program.

 

What do you bring?

You have at least 3 years in retail, distribution, or manufacturer sales experience in the Agriculture business.  A degree in Agriculture is preferred but not a requirement. You have effective leadership skills with the ability to interact with all levels in the organization. You bring with you an entrepreneurial spirit and strong customer relation skills.  You are organized and manage your time well by prioritizing.  You love setting the plan and going after your goal.  Working with people on a team motivates you. You must reside in the territory and be willing to travel often, as the role requires you to be on the road about 50-60% of the time.  You have no problem working with the latest technology.
