AgCareers.com is pleased to bring our 14th Annual North American Ag & Food HR Roundtable back to Des Moines, Iowa.  Plan to join us for the Roundtable August 2-4, hosted by DuPont Ag & Nutrition.   Last year more than 240 HR professionals, college career services staff, and industry association representatives gathered for this exceptional networking, continuing education and entertaining event.

The Ag & Food HR Roundtable is the premier North American event for HR and educational professionals that provides relevant content examining recruitment and retention specifically within the ag and food industry.  The combination of HR and educational professionals provides a unique and rewarding networking experience not found anywhere else.

AgCareers.com is excited to announce the line-up of topics selected for the 2016 North American Ag & Food HR Roundtable. With the help of the Roundtable Organizing Committee a great agenda full of hot topics for human resource professionals, managers, university/college staff and associations within the agricultural industry has been developed.   Below are a few of the sessions to be featured in this year’s program.

2016 Roundtable Topic Schedule

  • Dynamics Influencing Human Capital
  • Creating a Compelling Story for Working in Agriculture
  • Talent Acquisition Technologies
  • Have Employability Skills Changed in the Last 5 Years?
  • Students’ Perspective on Entering the Workforce
  • 5 Steps to Creating an Effective Employee Referral Program
  • Finding Balance in an Ever-Connected Work World
  • Diversity Recruitment Begins with Youth
  • University Beg, Borrow and Share
  • Big Data and Talent Acquisition
  • Creating Successful Development Programs

This year’s topics will set the stage for what will surely be a successful event.  Beyond the traditional educational sessions, the Organizing Committee has planned another year of enjoyable social events to get in plenty of networking, such as tours of DuPont, the Welcome Reception, Table Topics breakfast, Best Practices Roundtable Discussions breakfast, and a fun networking dinner.

We will again offer an add-on workshop, but feature a NEW topic for 2016—Diversity Recruitment. This special add-on workshop will include supplemental sessions following the close of the Roundtable specific to diversity recruitment, including challenges, engagement and inclusion, case studies and feedback directly from diverse talent. Add this track to your Roundtable registration for a discounted rate.  Thank you to MANRRS for their support in planning this add-on workshop.

We would once again like to thank our host, DuPont Ag & Nutrition. We would also like to thank sponsors of this event:  ADM, BASF, Bayer CropScience, Bunge, Cargill, CHS, Inc., DuPont Ag & Nutrition, FFA Foundation, Valent, and Wilbur-Ellis. Without their support, we would not be able to offer such an event.  There are still limited spots available for sponsorship; if you are interested, please contact Erika Osmundson at erika.osmundson@agcareers.com or 800.672.8552 x28.
