The Screening & Informatics Group at our Company Research Laboratories site in Kenilworth, NJ, is looking for highly motivated, talented and innovative candidates with experience in laboratory automation and informatics. Successful individuals will create, implement, execute, and maintain automated methods and dataflows enabling cutting-edge technologies including ultra-high-throughput mass spectrometry (uHT-MS), DNA-Encoded Libraries (DEL), mixture-based mass spectrometry (ALIS), mRNA-Display, and traditional HTS (tHTS). Your efforts will be a complement to our existing walk-up and integrated robotic system capabilities and will serve as a means to expand our ability to interrogate and identify new chemical matter to help drive our discovery programs. You will be expected to work independently and to proactively collaborate with colleagues in Screening & Compound Profiling, Quantitative Biosciences, Discovery Chemistry, IT, and across therapeutic area disciplines.
As a member of the lab automation & informatics team, the successful candidate will participate in the method development, planning and execution of robust automation strategies to support the following in vitro systems on both integrated and walk-up robotic platforms:
target-based and phenotypic tHTS in biochemical and/or translatable, cell-based formats
complex high throughput biology
a broad range of affinity-based technologies
Knowledge of cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell-based assay systems would be beneficial in this role. Finally, you will work closely with data scientists, informatics, and automation colleagues to establish robust and sustainable end-to-end solutions that address data management bottlenecks.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on hardware/programming with robotic liquid handlers (e.g.Tecan, Hamilton, Agilent) and integrated robotic systems (e.g. HighRes Biosolutions)
Extensive collaboration with assay scientists for validation, documentation, and execution of high-throughput (HT) workflows
Life-cycle management and maintenance of screening systems and peripherals
Continuous workflow optimization to meet the changing needs of our Project Teams
Collaborate with data scientists, informatics, and automation colleagues to establish robust and sustainable end-to-end solutions that address data management/mining bottlenecks and work towards a fully digital lab infrastructure

Education/Experience Requirements:
BS degree with 3+ years in Automated Sciences and/or Biology with relevant automation and in vitro assay experience
MS degree with 0+ years

Expected salary range: $72,200.00 - $122,900.00
