Position Overview:
As a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Outcomes and Real-World Evidence (CORE) based in Upper Gwynedd, PA or Philadelphia PA, you will work with a highly collaborative team of outcomes researchers, epidemiologists and health economists to review ongoing research, design and conduct observational studies in support of vaccines targeting respiratory diseases. You will have the opportunity to interface with colleagues in a variety of different disciplines working together to identify ways to differentiate products, improve market access and overall public health.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Take part in health outcomes research projects and activities, including feasibility assessment, protocol preparation, study design, study logistics, data summary, and technical reports.
Perform analyses to process and summarize observational data
Review the literature; prepare reports and make presentations to communicate research activity results to cross functional teams, internal committees, and external investigators.
Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills. Present at professional scientific meetings and publish research findings.
Explore innovative options for efficiently analyzing and visualizing data.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Candidates must currently hold a PhD or will you have completed your PhD within the next year.
A degree in Epidemiology or related field is preferred.
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience in the successful direction of epidemiologic/observational projects.
Knowledge and experience in the application of health outcomes/epidemiologic approaches including statistics
Familiar with software packages used to process epidemiologic/outcomes data
Creative problem-solving ability and strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Background in Infectious Diseases (ID, respiratory in particular) and some experience in conducting ID and/or vaccine epidemiological studies and activities
