About the role.

 

What you’ll be doing.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the storage and shipping of finished goods, maintaining quality standards of stored product, and inventory accuracy. The incumbent directs cold storage activities for the organization (personally or through subordinate Leads and Coordinators), and as a member of the leadership team, ensures compliance for area safety audits, quality, process improvement initiatives, employee training, and upgrading of personal and subordinate employees’ skills. 

 

  • Administer supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.      
  •    
  • Responsible for overall operation, planning, and coordination of product storage.                    
     
  • Confer with department head to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control and purchasing. Work cohesively with all plant management and staff. 
     
  • Assists in developing, recommends related to, and maintaining budget for warehouse and shipping activities. 
     
  • Analyze records and recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess inventory.  Direct salvage of damaged or used material. 
  • Scheduled cycle counting and backflush item reviews. 
  • Establish operational procedures for area activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and warehouse inventory optimization. 
     
  • Keep area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s). Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. 
     
  • Participate in continuous improvement process. 
     
  • Participate in planning employee safety and plant protection activities. 
     
  • Understand and adhere to the concepts and techniques of the quality process to ensure quality operation. 
     
  • Ensure overall administrative responsibilities are fulfilled. 
     
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. 
     
  • Other Duties may be assigned 

 

This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas.

 

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • 3 years warehouse responsibility, preferable in a food processing operations environment.
  • Experience with SAP and Colos 
  • Bachelor’s degree with progressive experience in distribution and/or operations.  Strong leadership, reasoning, and judgment will be required to facilitate proper planning and implementation.

Compensation Package: $58,800.00 - $78,500.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
