Job Description

In every role, McCainers are ambitious, curious, and passionate about creating exceptional work experiences - together. With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.

About the role.

The Manager, North America MRO Procurement Transformation Execution & Delivery is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement transformation initiatives across McCain’s North America manufacturing network. This role partners closely with maintenance, manufacturing, storeroom, and plant leadership teams to optimize critical spare parts inventory, improve supplier performance, reduce downtime, and drive sustainable cost and working capital improvements.

As a hands-on leader with a strong technical maintenance background, you will translate global MRO category strategies into practical, site-level execution while managing multi-site transformation programs and ensuring measurable business outcomes. This is a hybrid role that can be based at a McCain North America manufacturing site or procurement hub.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead execution and delivery of MRO procurement initiatives across North America manufacturing sites, translating category strategies into operational results.
  • Identify and implement sustainable cost advantage (SCA) opportunities through inventory optimization, supplier consolidation, parts standardization, and storeroom efficiency initiatives.
  • Partner directly with maintenance technicians, reliability engineers, manufacturing leaders, and storeroom teams to assess parts criticality, maintenance priorities, and asset reliability needs.
  • Drive storeroom process standardization, inventory management best practices, parts rationalization, obsolescence management, and stock optimization programs.
  • Execute preferred supplier programs and punch-out catalog solutions to improve compliance, availability, and ease of procurement for maintenance teams.
  • Support urgent maintenance and breakdown situations through expedited sourcing, alternate supplier identification, and emergency logistics coordination.
  • Conduct storeroom audits and site walks to validate inventory strategies, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Manage supplier performance through quarterly business reviews, scorecards, contract compliance, warranty resolution, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Act as program manager for North America MRO transformation initiatives, developing implementation roadmaps, governance processes, timelines, budgets, and deployment plans.
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including savings, working capital improvements, fill rates, inventory turns, stockouts, and downtime impact.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Background in industrial maintenance, reliability, mechanical or electrical trades, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in MRO procurement, plant maintenance, storeroom management, supply chain, or industrial operations within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance-related categories, including bearings, motors, pumps, valves, conveyors, PLCs, instrumentation, and safety/PPE supplies.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM platforms, inventory management processes, criticality assessments, min/max planning, and obsolescence programs.
  • Demonstrated success implementing sourcing strategies, supplier programs, and inventory optimization initiatives in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience utilizing procurement technologies, spend analytics tools, contract management systems, and digital procurement solutions.
  • Strong program and project management capabilities, including roadmap development, budget management, governance, risk mitigation, and multi-site implementation.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and driving adoption of new processes and tools with plant-based teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and related procurement systems is considered an asset.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel across North America manufacturing locations as required.
