About the role.

McCain Foods (Canada) has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Stockroom Supervisor at our Carberry, Manitoba Food Processing Plant. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing the stockroom on site.

 

What you’ll be doing.

  • Provide leadership and support for a Stockroom maintenance & Security team, working towards proactive maintenance systems and continuous improvement strategies   
  • Ensure both personal and food safety policies are followed and adhered to by all employees  
  • Work closely with Production and Maintenance management and team members to achieve plant goals and KPIs
  • Ensure all Company Guidelines, Rules and Regulations are being followed throughout the Security, Material Handling and Maintenance process, including the proper completion of all required documentation
  • Manage and approve employee hours in the Dimensions time keeping system
  • Oversee performance management system for the employees under your direction, including performance appraisals and coaching and progressive discipline as required
  • Responsible to lead, guide, support and demonstrate ownership for the stockroom area to ensure all standards are met and the plant is set up for maintenance Success          
  • Prepare schedules, manage vacation planning, and other scheduling activities
  • Participation in departmental planning sessions and work closely with other Maintenance functions to deliver best in class maintenance stats
  • Preparation of departmental reports on purchasing and budgets; daily, weekly and monthly
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager to meet the targets set forth in quality, safety, productivity, cost, delivery, morale and environment
     

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • High School Diploma required
  • Preference may be given to those with an Industrial Inventory Management Certificate, Journeyperson Parts Technician Certificate and/or those who have equivalent experience and education in a complimentary field
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to lead a group of people in a positive and productive manner within the guidelines outlined by the company’s policies and procedures

Compensation Package: $58,800.00 - $78,500.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
