About the role.

The MDI Coordinator serves as the site’s technical subject-matter expert for the McCain Driving Impact (MDI) continuous improvement system. Operating in direct support of the MDI Manager’s strategic direction, this role ensures the operational integrity, configuration, and governance of MDI tools, systems, and documentation.

 

This position exercises independent judgment in evaluating program performance against global MDI standards, identifying technical gaps, and developing data-driven recommendations. The role is non-manual and analysis-focused, with key outputs including technical assessments, governance documentation, analytical insights, and coaching to strengthen MDI tool proficiency across the site.

 

What you’ll be doing.

  • Serves as the site’s technical subject-matter expert for the McCain Driving Impact (MDI) continuous improvement system
  • Supports and executions within the strategic direction set by the MDI Manager
  • Oversee operational integrity, configuration, and site-level governance of MDI tools, systems, and documentation
  • Evaluates program performance against global MDI standards using independent judgment and analysis
  • Identifies technical gaps and improvement opportunities within MDI implementation
  • Develops data-driven insights and recommendations for the MDI Manager’s review and decision-making
  • Produces key deliverables including technical assessments, governance outputs, and analytical reports
  • Provides coaching and guidance to enhance MDI tool proficiency across the site
  • Operates in a non-manual, analysis-focused role centered on continuous improvement and program effectiveness
     

Work Environment:

The MDI Coordinator primarily performs work in an office or administrative setting. As an incidental component of structured observation activities, the employee may be periodically present in plant environments that include wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, vibration, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in production areas is usually loud.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Technical MDI assessment accuracy: the MDI Coordinator's independent site-level evaluations align with regional audit findings, validating the quality of technical program governance.
  • Data quality and analytical reliability: the MDI Manager is consistently able to use the MDI Coordinator's analytical outputs to support plant performance reporting and strategic decision-making without requiring rework or re-analysis.
  • MDI tool and system integrity: MDIxAI configurations, Centerline documentation, and DMS structures are current, accurate, and compliant with McCain global standards always.
  • Technical proficiency outcomes: supervisors and team members demonstrate measurable improvement in MDI tool and system application as a result of the MDI Coordinator's technical coaching.
  • REO technical representation: the Plover site's MDI element configurations and technical statuses are accurately and effectively represented at REO meetings, in coordination with the MDI Manager.
     

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and substantial relevant work experience demonstrating equivalent analytical and technical advisory competency.
  • Demonstrated experience independently analyzing complex operational or process performance data and translating findings into structured written recommendations or technical assessments.
  • Experience in a technical subject-matter expert, program governance, or internal specialist capacity where independent judgment in forming data-driven recommendations was required.
  • Proficiency with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, MDI, or equivalent).
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools; advanced Excel, Office Word, and PowerPoint skills required. Power BI experience (or similar tool) highly desired.
  • Strong computer and technology troubleshooting skills, including MDIxAI or equivalent digital manufacturing platforms.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in technically ambiguous situations and develop sound recommendations without requiring step-by-step supervisory direction.
  • Thorough knowledge of plant operations sufficient to independently assess operational conditions and interpret data in context.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a defined strategic framework and escalate appropriately to the MDI Manager on matters of organizational or cross-site significance.

Compensation Package: $58,800.00- $78,500.00 $78,500.00 DOQ USD annually + Bonus eligibility
