You must be legally eligible to work and currently residing in Canada.
 

General Labor:

The General Labor full-time position is responsible for performing packaging, clean-up and other elemental activities related to food processing. 

The successful applicant must:

  • Responsible for the receiving of all meat (in compliance with) and dry goods
  • Receiving of all meat and dry goods into SAP
  • Inspect all outbound loads for carton and label deficiencies
  • Maintain housekeeping of raw cooler, freezer and spice room, dry storage, RTE dry storage, spice staging room, old tempering room and the battery room.
  • Ensure all Pallet storage areas are kept clean and free of debris
  • Complete required documentation as noted in related documents, accurately and neatly.
  • Perform duties in accordance with all regulatory bodies and adhere to all food safety, health & safety, HACCP, WHIMIS and GMP guidelines and applicable statutes and procedures.
  • Complete weight checks and verify PO's.
  • Return meat, materials or dry goods following the proper procedure contained within the SOP above.
  • Accurate record keeping as indicated in related documents.
  • Transport all spices to and from the production floor and storage as required.
  • Complete physical inventories of raw and finished goods
  • To visually inspect the working area and its surroundings for any concerns of possible food and health and safety hazards.
  • Ensure all external drivers are complying with MLF food safety procedures, including all related document procedures as well as all health and safety procedures.
  • To lead and assist the massager in set up, production and maintaining of the massage operation.
  • To ensure all batch sheets are assigned by SKU for the production shift as listed on daily production schedule.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Shift Requirements:

  • Demonstrate ability to work in a structured and goal driven production environment.
  • Good knowledge of production process, machine operation, setup & tear down is needed.
  • Hands on in operation of equipment, line setup, trouble shooting and correcting basic problems.
  • Successful passing of rider/counterbalance training
  • Ability to read, speak and write English. Good communication skills.
  • Be a team player with a good attendance record.
  • Good organizational and work planning skills.
