Job Description
The Labour Relations Supervisor supports and leads positive labour-management relations within a unionized Level 1 Site.
Acts as the primary advisor to leaders on collective agreement interpretation, grievances, investigations, attendance, discipline and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with legislation and the UFCW Local 175 collective agreement.

Compensation: $62,000 - $91,000 CAD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentive
The above compensation reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf's annual short-term incentive plan.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Labour Relations: Lead all Labour Relations practices across the network, including but not limited to collective agreement negotiations.
- Employee Relations: Determine, recommend, and implement practices to sustain positive employer/employee relationships. Support with hourly investigations and acts as a escalation point.
- Site HR Strategy & Execution: Within Site Operations, provide leadership and support to HR Business Partners to ensure the effective execution and delivery of HR programs and policies across site operations.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Proactively manage labour and employment risk, ensuring compliance with collective agreements, legislation, and internal policies while minimizing operational and legal exposure.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years Labour Relations experience in unionized manufacturing
- Experience administering collective agreements and managing grievances
- Workplace investigations and progressive discipline
- UFCW or large industrial union experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree; CHRP/CHRL considered an asset
