Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for production of all wheat grown on the farm
Ensure field boarders and fields are clean to ensure contaminate free seed production
Complete all paperwork, certifications, and record keeping for seed production and certification
Maintain seed cleaning and storage facilities in a professional manner
Set and oversee operations of seed cleaning plant
Work with customers to meet their seed treatment and delivery timing
Complete all reporting for licensed varieties sold
Work with other crop production areas of the farm as needed
Be able to complete assigned jobs without direct supervision
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associates or bachelor s degree in engineering or agriculture related discipline
Bilingual is beneficial
Pesticide applicators license required within 6 months (training provided)
Must have own basic tools
Ability to work in a team atmosphere
Must have a valid driver license and good driving record
Knowledge of electricity & electric motors
Ability to accept responsibility and account for own actions
REQUIRED SKILLS
Detailed knowledge of water works and flows
Comprehensive knowledge of electricity & electric irrigation components
Ability to effectively communicate and lead team culture & duties
Understanding and operation of telemetry systems & operations
Ability to use computers and Microsoft office products
Ability to accept responsibility and account for own actions
Ability to adapt to change
Ability to make critical decisions
Ability to deal proactively with work related problems.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
Madison Ranches is a generational family farm producing a diverse mix of crops on over 10,000 irrigated acres. Annually Madison Ranches produces nearly 200,000 bu. of seed wheat to be sold through our plant or grown for other local co-ops for seed. This position could potentially lead to a crop production supervisor position as operations continue to grow and diversify.
