Position Overview 

We are seeking a high-energy, skilled couple to live on-site and manage year-round grounds care, exterior building maintenance, and equipment upkeep. This role is ideal for a couple experienced in hands-on property care, historic structure preservation, and outdoor work.

Key Responsibilities

• Grounds Maintenance — mowing, trimming, trail upkeep, seasonal landscape care
• Historic Building Exterior Care — maintaining and preserving twelve early 19th-century structures
• Professional-Level Painting — high-quality exterior painting and finishing
• Carpentry Repairs — small-scale exterior carpentry and repair work prior to painting
• Equipment Maintenance — basic mechanical skills to maintain mowers, trimmers, and other grounds equipment
• Conservation Stewardship — supporting the plantation’s mission as a permanent nature preserve

• Energetic couple comfortable with physical, outdoor work
• Professional exterior painting experience (required)
