We currently have a Seed Market Representative position available at our facility in Hershey, NE.

Lead agricultural seed and seed technology marketing effort in conjunction with and direction from the Seed Sales and Marketing Advisor utilizing company field sales personnel and company owned agricultural retail stores within defined geography. Educate and train field sales personnel. Manage seed product portfolio in conjunction with Seed Sales and Marketing Advisor. Motivate and influence sales personnel and customers. Manage inventory control.


Influence, motivate, and strengthen relationships with field sales, local management, customers and industry. Act as team member with Seed Sales and Marketing Advisor, field sales, management, and other seed market representatives. Promote company seed products. Working with the Seed Sales and Marketing Advisor develop and implement area seed marketing plan, estimate product demand, set sales goals, and manage seed product portfolio. Act as team member in design and marketing of integrated crop production bundles with wide range of crop inputs and crop output. Communicate with field sales and management regarding market activity. Evaluate effectiveness of field sales effort and identify areas for improvement. Manage local seed lines within geography. Manage testing and monitor performance of new and existing seed products and technology. Oversee seed and technology life cycle management and be accountable for inventory control and supporting distribution infrastructure. Provide seed and seed technology education and sales training for field sales personnel. Ensure that field sales personnel are equipped with skills and product knowledge to be successful. Working with the Seed Sales and Marketing Advisor, develop programs, information, and tools that aid selling effort of field.
REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university
Three plus years related experienceHave knowledge or ability to quickly become proficient with major crops such as corn, wheat, alfalfa seed and regional crop seed.Knowledge of western U.S. crop and forage production. Certified Crop Advisor designation beneficial. Inventory control knowledge required.Superior written and verbal communication skills. Relationship management. Computer literacy including Microsoft office. Strong observation skills. Experience in educational capacity with demonstrated ability to influence others. Prefer track record marketing agricultural crop inputs and/or seed. Strong ability to negotiate and influence. Able to work effectively with a variety of personalities, diverse cultures and market areas. Demonstrated leadership. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.Licenses: Drivers License.Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
