Simplot Companys Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary * Provide day-to-day legal support for corporate treasury activities, including various types of financing transactions and finance-related compliance matters* Oversee domestic and global subsidiary maintenance and advise on various subsidiary governance matters, including capital contributions and intercompany loans* Provide general commercial advice to support the Companys expanding business operations* Provide corporate secretary support to Company business ventures* Prepare, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts* Provide secondary legal support for structuring, negotiation and documentation of various types of M&A and other strategic transactions* Provide active management of outside counsel Skills & Abilities:* Exceptional written and communication skills, including strong proofreading/editing and presentation skills* Ability to lead the legal function from a collaborative, team-based/partnership approach* Possess personal qualities of integrity and ethics* Able to inspire trust and followership in others through compelling influence, charisma, passion, and active drive* Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances* Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with an effective resolution of conflicting priorities Qualifications:* JD degree from an ABA accredited law school required* Excellent academic credentials* Membership in good standing with the Bar of at least one state in the United States. * Minimum of 8 years experience with finance, corporate governance and commercial transactions* Strong business acumen* Ability to build relationships and work well with employees at all levels, gain credibility quickly, and effectively partner with business units across the globe* Excellent project management skills, well organized, with ability to thrive in fast paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline
* Ability to travel* Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
