Job Description:

Are you an AZ truck driver with farming experience?

 

Highland Custom Farming Inc. has an opening for an experienced AZ Truck Driver and Farm Equipment Operator based out of Proton Station, Ontario. This is a full-time seasonal position with hours ranging from 30-60+ per week from April to December.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy-duty semi-tractor with a live bottom belt trailer.
  • Transport biosolids and fertilizer safely and efficiently from wastewater treatment plants to fields within Ontario.
  • Safely operate a variety of large farm equipment - tractors, spreaders, injectors.
  • Apply biosolids on designated fields according to NASM plans.
  • Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Grease, fuel and maintain equipment in good operating condition.
  • Assist with field work and general farm duties.
  • Record load details on digital forms.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs using an ELD system.
  • Ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid AZ driver’s license with 3+ years driving experience.
  • Experience with farm equipment and live bottom belt trailers preferred.
  • Comfortable with rural and city driving including Toronto traffic.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural machinery - mechanical skills an asset.
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills.
  • Strong safety mindset and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including weekends and evenings during peak seasons.
