Qualifications:

- Previous management experience in a pork slaughter or pork processing facility required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to effectively communicate with all employees
- Strong knowledge of pork slaughter operations, carcass handling, production flow, and yield management
- Experience leading supervisors, department managers, and production teams
- Knowledge of USDA/FSIS regulations, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and animal welfare requirements
- Experience managing plant budgets, production costs, and P&L performance
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills


Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive pork processing company seeking an experienced Operations Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations, performance, and profitability of its slaughter and processing facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for directing all aspects of plant operations, including production, staffing, maintenance, food safety, quality assurance, employee safety, carcass yields, and financial performance.

The Plant Manager will provide leadership to department managers and supervisors while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently achieved. Responsibilities include improving plant efficiency and product yields, overseeing preventative maintenance and equipment reliability, managing staffing and labor performance, controlling operating costs, and maintaining accountability for plant P&L. The successful candidate will also lead continuous improvement initiatives, monitor key performance indicators, and work closely with senior management to achieve operational and financial objectives.
