Qualifications:

- Experience troubleshooting and repairing dairy equipment, facility systems, or industrial equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pumps, motors, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance
- Experience with welding, fabrication, plumbing, and general facility maintenance preferred
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures and respond to emergency breakdowns
- Experience maintaining agricultural equipment, skid steers, tractors, loaders, or similar equipment preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Trade school graduates with the right mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply


Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive dairy operation who is searching for a hands on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of dairy facilities, equipment, and support systems. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime by ensuring equipment remains reliable and operational.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems, repairing pumps, motors, facility equipment, parlor systems, ventilation equipment, plumbing, and general dairy infrastructure. The Maintenance Manager will also oversee routine maintenance of tractors, loaders, skid steers, and other farm equipment while coordinating major repairs with outside vendors when appropriate.

The successful candidate will manage facility improvement projects, coordinate maintenance priorities, maintain service equipment and shop tools, and help ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. This position requires someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, responding to equipment failures, and taking ownership of keeping a busy dairy operating at peak efficiency.

The employer is willing to train an individual with strong mechanical aptitude who demonstrates the ability to quickly learn electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
