• Recent row crop production experience required
• Demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently operate modern farm equipment, including air drills, combines, sprayers, tractors, and grain handling equipment
• Experience with GPS guidance systems preferred
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform routine maintenance and equipment repairs
• Grain hauling experience preferred
• Agricultural background required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, dependable, and trustworthy
• Strong work ethic with willingness to work extended hours during planting and harvest
• Good communication skills and positive attitude
• CDL is a plus, but not required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified Farm Operations Assistant for a progressive and expanding family farming operation located in Minnesota. The employer is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual with recent row crop production experience who is capable of assisting with all aspects of the farming operation while becoming a long-term member of a growing family business. Primary responsibilities include operating modern John Deere equipment throughout the planting, growing, and harvest seasons, including air drills, combines, sprayers, tractors, and grain handling equipment. Additional responsibilities include grain hauling, equipment maintenance, routine repairs, and assisting with all aspects of crop production as needed. The operation produces wheat, soybeans, canola, sunflowers, and corn utilizing GPS guidance technology and modern production practices. Local custom harvesting is also performed, providing additional equipment operating opportunities without overnight travel. The ideal candidate will have experience safely operating modern farm equipment, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate the ability to work independently while exercising good judgment around high-value equipment. The employer is looking for an individual with a solid agricultural background, a strong work ethic, and the desire to grow with an expanding farming operation. Candidates who demonstrate the aptitude to continue developing their skills and assume additional responsibilities over time will have opportunities for advancement as the operation continues to grow.
