JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Farm / Equipment Mechanic Operator for a progressive, diversified South Dakota farm, ranch, and cattle feeding operation. This is a hands-on position combining light equipment repair, preventative maintenance, equipment operation, and general farm work.

MECHANICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Perform routine maintenance and service on farm equipment and trucks

·       Diagnose and repair common mechanical problems

·       Perform preventative maintenance

·       Complete general equipment service work

·       Assist with welding and fabrication projects

·       Maintain equipment to minimize downtime

·       Help keep the farm, feedlot, and livestock equipment ready for use

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       3-5 years of farm equipment, agricultural mechanic, or related experience preferred

·       Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair common equipment problems

·       Experience servicing tractors, trucks, combines, sprayers, and other farm equipment

·       Strong equipment operating skills

·       Experience with John Deere, Case, or similar agricultural equipment preferred

·       Combine, planter, sprayer, and grain cart experience preferred

·       Must have a good driving record

·       Willingness to help with livestock and general farm work when needed

·       Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
