Job Title: Farm Assistant

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established, multi-generation family farming operation in Minnesota seeking to add a Farm Assistant to its long-term team. This diversified operation consists of approximately 3,500 acres of corn, soybeans, and hay, along with a 2,500-head feedlot, commercial trucking division, and full-service repair shop. RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties will include:

• Operating modern John Deere equipment during planting, spraying, haying, and harvest.
• Loading and operating feed trucks for daily cattle feeding.
• Operating payloaders and loaders.
• Assisting with cattle processing and general feedlot responsibilities.
• Grain hauling from fields during harvest.
• Equipment cleaning, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
• General farm and facility maintenance.
• Assisting in the farm repair shop as needed.
• Performing a wide variety of seasonal duties throughout the operation.
• Every day brings something different, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety rather than repetitive work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Experience operating large farm equipment.
• 2-5+ years of hands-on farm equipment operating experience preferred
• Safe machinery operating practices.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Valid driver's license.

Experience with livestock is beneficial but not required. Candidates simply need to be comfortable working around cattle and willing to assist with feedlot activities as needed.

THE OPERATION

This is a highly diversified farming operation where employees gain experience across multiple areas of production agriculture, including:

• Row crop production
• Feedlot operations
• Hay production
• Grain handling
• Equipment maintenance
• Shop work
• Commercial trucking support

Approximately 80% of the acreage is located near the home operation, with the remaining fields only a few miles away.

Housing is best suited for single individuals, although exceptional family candidates may be considered if alternative housing can be arranged.
