Job Description:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large beverage processing operation in Texas who is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to provide leadership across a complex, high-volume production facility.
This position will have broad responsibility for daily manufacturing performance, including production, processing, packaging, planning, and related operational functions. The Director will lead department and business-unit leaders while maintaining accountability for safety, product quality, production, cost, delivery, and employee performance.
A key focus will be strengthening operating discipline and accountability through an established continuous improvement system. The successful candidate must have practical experience implementing and driving IWS, Lean, TPM, or a similar methodology within a high-speed manufacturing environment. This position requires someone who can lead behavioral and cultural change—not simply maintain an existing program.
The Director will develop production plans, optimize labor and material utilization, improve workflow, monitor key operating metrics, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and overall plant performance. Responsibilities will also include budget and cost management, P&L accountability, capital improvement initiatives, and collaboration with Human Resources on staffing, performance management, and employee relations within a union workforce.
This individual will ensure manufacturing activities meet established food safety, quality, environmental, and workplace safety requirements, including applicable GMP, FDA, AIB, and ISO standards.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-driven manufacturing leader who has successfully led large, high-speed operations and understands how to develop people, establish accountability, control costs, and continually improve plant performance.
