Hansen Agri PLACEMENT is assisting an established agricultural cooperative in its search for an Agronomy Location Manager in Nebraska. This individual will be responsible for the overall leadership, operations, sales, personnel, customer service, and profitability of a full service agronomy location.

This is a hands on leadership position requiring an experienced agronomy professional who can effectively manage both the people and operational sides of the business. The Agronomy Location Manager will oversee sales, agronomy operations, personnel, inventory, scheduling, workflow, and customer needs while working closely with senior leadership to achieve location goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and direction for location employees
  • Oversee daily agronomy operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow
  • Manage and develop location personnel
  • Coordinate sales goals and support continued business growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with growers and member patrons
  • Address customer questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide agronomic recommendations involving fertilizer, crop protection products, and seed
  • Oversee product inventory and purchasing needs
  • Maintain accurate customer records, contracts, billing, and related documentation
  • Coordinate seasonal staffing and workloads
  • Monitor location performance, expenses, sales, and profitability
  • Ensure equipment, facilities, and operations are maintained in a safe and efficient manner
  • Coordinate required employee safety training and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with applicable safety, transportation, environmental, and agricultural regulations
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and establish goals and expectations
  • Promote a positive, productive, and customer focused work environment
  • Work closely with senior agronomy leadership on operational and business objectives

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 or more years of related agronomy experience required; additional experience preferred
  • Previous leadership and personnel management experience preferred
  • Four year degree and/or equivalent related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed, application practices, and agronomy operations
  • Experience managing daily operations, staffing, scheduling, inventory, and customer needs
  • Strong sales and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to provide fertilizer, agricultural chemical, and seed recommendations
  • Knowledge of agronomy safety and regulatory requirements
  • Commercial Custom Applicator License preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Willing and able to work extended hours during peak seasons

 

COMPENSATION

Salary: $100,000 to $140,000 depending on experience and qualifications
