About the Role - Seasonal (Next Spring - May 1st 2027 through November 1st, 2027)

Flowerree Hay & Grain is hiring a full-time Agricultural Specialist to support hay and grain production on a large, established family farm. This position is ideal for graduates of an Agricultural Sciences college or university program who grew up around farming and are seeking a hands-on, operational career in production agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, swathers, balers, loaders, trucks, and related equipment
• Assist in hay and grain production, irrigation management, and fieldwork
• Apply pesticides in compliance with Oregon regulations
• Perform basic equipment repairs and mechanical troubleshooting
• Maintain field, chemical, and equipment logs
• Support daily farm operations, independently and as part of a team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field
• Grew up on a farm or extensive hands-on farm experience
• Oregon Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic repairs
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varied conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPS, machine guidance, or precision ag
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Irrigation system experience (pivots, pumps, wells)
• Hay production experience
