How you’ll make an impact 

Leverage your expertise in enterprise risk management, policy and risk governance to continuously enhance FCC’s risk practices. As a Risk Specialist, you’ll collaborate with key risk management partners, including senior leaders, to guide the development of policies, standards and processes, as well as provide support to the risk management committees at FCC. 

As a strong communicator, you’ll ensure policies and briefing materials are well structured and appropriate for a senior leader audience. You’ll use your attention to detail and organizational skills to drive process enhancement in how the risk committees are supported.

What you’ll do 

• Work with stakeholders and partners to understand and translate business practices and information into meaningful policies and related documentation across risk categories 
• Coach and mentor others to understand and implement effective policy practices, governance through the three lines model and operate within risk appetite  
• Develop materials including briefing notes and power points for executive and committee audiences, mentoring others in this area of expertise 
• Provide support 3 of FCC’s risk management committees including managing process enhancements 

What you’ll bring to the team 

Required qualifications:  

• A degree in economics, business administration or a related field 
• At least four years of experience in a governance, risk management or policy management environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) 
• Extensive knowledge of governance in areas such as policy development  
• Experience with industry standards and frameworks and committee management 

Preferred qualifications:  

• Certifications related to risk management or governance, such as CRM, CRMP, GPC.D 
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries 
• Experience developing governance structures, practices and policies
