How you’ll make an impact

Leverage your expertise in real and personal property appraisal, valuation analytics and risk management to lead a regional valuations team and support sound lending decisions across FCC.

As a Manager, Valuations, you’ll provide leadership and direction to a team responsible for a variety of valuation activities. Your knowledge of appraisal and strong analytical capabilities will enable you to mitigate risk, develop valuation guidance, support data-driven insights and strengthen decision-making across the organization.

What you’ll do

• Provide leadership, coaching and development for a high-performing valuations team
• Lead valuation activities and review complex analyses across a variety of asset types to support risk mitigation
• Develop and deliver market insights, analytics and reporting for operational, risk and senior management stakeholders
• Support the development and maintenance of valuation guides 
• Act as a subject matter expert, build partnerships across the organization and deliver training to internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, finance, business or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum four years of formal or informal leadership experience 
• Extensive knowledge of real estate finance and real and personal property appraisal, including agricultural and commercial properties
• Knowledge of Canadian agriculture and agribusiness industries

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Proven expertise in valuation, appraisal and risk assessment
• Experience delivering training, presentations or consulting services to diverse stakeholder groups
• Professional appraisal designation (AACI or É.A.)
