How you’ll make an impact  

Bring your credit policy, risk management and loan administration expertise to help strengthen processes, improve consistency and support sound decision-making across FCC. As a Loan Operation Specialist, you’ll analyze existing policies and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement and help put practical loan administration solutions in place for employees, partners and customers. 

In this role, you’ll use your problem-solving skills, curiosity and comfort with technology to understand issues and find practical answers. You’ll research complex topics, assess risks, suggest improvements and manage important priorities with care. Your ability to work well with others will help build strong relationships and support ongoing improvements in a dynamic lending environment.

What you’ll do 

• Collaborate throughout FCC and with solicitors or notaries to evaluate processes and policies 
• Act as a liaison and subject matter expert for loan administration, procedures and policies 
• Consult external experts to resolve unusual collateral or contract issues. 
• Review documents on complex and higher risk loan files to ensure risks are being mitigated 
• Recommend process and system improvements and implement in collaboration with the relevant supervisors to ensure effective change management 
• Define and deliver data reporting requirements through own work or by communication requirements to IT partners 
• Mentor and coach co-workers using your expertise and experience. 

What you’ll bring to the team 

Required qualifications:  

• A degree in a related field and at least three years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) 

Preferred qualifications:   

• Experience with loan management systems and applications 
• Two years of lending, mortgage, banking services, credit products or legal field related experience  
• Bilingualism in English and French
