UPL Ltd. has announced changes to its leadership team following the resignation of Mike Frank as CEO of UPL Corporation Ltd. The company said Frank will step down on August 31 as he plans to relocate to the United States.
After Frank's departure, Group Chairman and CEO Jai Shroff will directly oversee UPL's global crop protection business. The transition is part of the company's efforts to streamline operations and strengthen execution across key markets.
UPL has also introduced a revised leadership structure with expanded responsibilities for senior executives. Sameer Tandon has been appointed President for Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Europe, while Ashish Dobhal will lead the Americas region as President.
The company said the new structure is designed to improve decision-making and operational efficiency. It aims to create a simpler and more agile organization while maintaining continuity in its strategic priorities.
Tandon brings more than 26 years of experience across the consumer goods and crop protection industries. He has managed both B2B and B2C businesses and held profit-and-loss responsibilities in India, the Asia-Pacific region, and Europe.
Dobhal has over 23 years of experience in agricultural markets spanning Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. His expertise includes sales, research and development, and mergers and acquisitions.
Before taking on his new role, Dobhal served as CEO of UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions. Most recently, he led the company's global sales and supply chain operations, giving him extensive experience to oversee UPL's business across the Americas.
