The Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association has appointed Patrick Carney as its new executive director. The Board of Directors selected Carney for his extensive leadership experience, marketing expertise, and strong understanding of the dairy industry.
Throughout his career, Carney has led strategic marketing and business initiatives that increased brand visibility, strengthened stakeholder relationships, and supported organizational growth. His work has also helped boost consumer interest in dairy products.
Carney currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for the American Dairy Association North East. He will leave that position and officially begin his new role with the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association on August 17, 2026.
As executive director, Carney will help advance the association’s mission of supporting Pennsylvania dairy farmers and promoting dairy products. He will also represent the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Milkshake program, a well-known state tradition that helps fund charitable causes and dairy-related projects.
Board President Glenn Gorrell welcomed the appointment and highlighted Carney’s leadership abilities, industry knowledge, and marketing accomplishments. The board unanimously selected him following a comprehensive search process.
Association leaders believe Carney’s experience and vision will help strengthen the organization’s future growth and continue supporting Pennsylvania’s dairy industry. His appointment reflects the association’s ongoing commitment to innovation, leadership, and service across the Commonwealth.
