Media ArticleNorth Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) Chief Brand Inspector Corby Ward has been appointed to the board of directors of the International Livestock Identification Association (ILIA). The appointment was announced during the organization’s annual conference held in Layton, Utah.
The ILIA promotes livestock identification, inspection, and traceability programs while supporting collaboration among agricultural and animal identification professionals. The organization helps members from different states and provinces share information and strengthen livestock enforcement efforts.
Ward’s appointment reflects his experience in livestock law enforcement and producer protection in North Dakota. As NDSA’s chief brand inspector, he oversees livestock identification programs and works to ensure compliance with state regulations.
NDSA leaders praised Ward’s selection, noting his contributions to protecting producers and enforcing livestock laws. They also expressed confidence that he will contribute effectively at both national and international levels through his new role.
Ward will serve on the ILIA Executive Committee for the 2026-2027 term alongside leaders from Nebraska, Montana, California, and Alberta, Canada. The committee will help guide the organization’s efforts to strengthen livestock identification and inspection systems.
Through its leadership team and member network, the ILIA continues to support industry standards, traceability programs, and cross-border cooperation. Ward’s appointment is expected to further the organization’s mission of advancing livestock identification and producer protection across North America.
