Media ArticleThe Midwest Dairy Board of Directors has appointed Beth Bruck-Upton, senior vice president of sales and partnerships, as interim chief executive officer effective Oct. 12, 2026. The leadership change comes as current CEO Corey Scott prepares to become president and CEO of Dairy Management Inc. (DMI).
Bruck-Upton will oversee Midwest Dairy's daily operations and work closely with the board and leadership team during the transition. She brings more than 15 years of experience with the organization, including leadership roles in consumer programming, nutrition, youth wellness, regional operations, research, and processor partnerships.
Midwest Dairy Board Chairman Charles Krause said the board is confident in Bruck-Upton's ability to lead the organization and continue delivering value to dairy farmers across the region. The organization expects its priorities and ongoing initiatives to remain on track during the transition.
Since joining Midwest Dairy in March 2024, Corey Scott has led several strategic efforts, including organizational realignment, infrastructure improvements, consumer engagement initiatives, and development of the proposed 2027-2031 strategic plan. She also focused on employee development and strengthening the organization's workplace culture.
Midwest Dairy stated that its mission, priorities, and commitments will remain unchanged throughout the leadership transition. The board will determine the process and timeline for selecting a permanent CEO.
Bruck-Upton said her immediate priorities include supporting employees, maintaining progress on key initiatives, and ensuring continued value for dairy farmers. Scott will work closely with Bruck-Upton and the leadership team before her departure to help ensure a smooth transition and operational continuity across the organization.
