Corey Scott has been named the next president and CEO of Dairy Management Inc., succeeding Barbara O’Brien and leading efforts to strengthen dairy demand, consumer engagement, and industry growth nationwide.

Following an extensive national search, Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) has appointed Corey Scott as its next president and chief executive officer, marking a major leadership transition for the organization. The announcement was made by the DMI Board of Directors.

Scott will become only the third president and CEO in DMI’s history. He succeeds Barbara O’Brien, who will retire following the 2026 Joint Annual Meeting of the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board, National Milk Producers Federation, and United Dairy Industry Association scheduled for October,19-21,2026.

As DMI’s new leader, Scott will guide the organization’s efforts to strengthen dairy demand, enhance consumer engagement, and create opportunities for dairy producers across the United States. His appointment comes as the dairy industry continues to focus on innovation, growth, and meeting evolving consumer needs.

Commenting on his appointment, Scott said, “America’s dairy farmers have built one of the most respected and successful checkoff organizations in agriculture, and I am honored by the opportunity to serve them. The work of the dairy checkoff remains critical to growing dairy demand, connecting with today’s consumers and creating new opportunities for the next generation of farmers and importers.”

The DMI Board selected Scott through a comprehensive search process aimed at identifying a leader capable of guiding the organization through its next phase of growth and industry engagement. His leadership is expected to support DMI’s mission of promoting dairy products and delivering value to dairy farmers nationwide.

Scott will officially begin his role on October,12,2026. His appointment marks a new chapter for Dairy Management Inc. as it continues to advance programs and initiatives that support America’s dairy farmers and the broader dairy industry.
