Dr. Amir Ibrahim has received the International Crop Science Award, recognizing individuals whose contributions have significantly advanced crop science worldwide through innovation, leadership, and scientific achievement.
 

Ibrahim serves as associate director and chief scientific officer of Texas A&M AgriLife Research, associate dean for research in the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and a Regents Professor in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences.
 

A leading wheat breeder, Ibrahim has released or co-released 33 wheat and oat cultivars now grown on more than 1.2 million acres across 11 states. His work has helped improve crop productivity and agricultural sustainability.
 

In addition to crop development, he has secured more than $59 million in competitive research funding and authored 185 peer-reviewed journal articles among more than 350 scholarly publications.
 

Ibrahim is a Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy, the Crop Science Society of America, and Texas A&M AgriLife Research. He previously received the International Agronomy Award.
 

The International Crop Science Award further recognizes Ibrahim’s lasting contributions to agricultural research, crop improvement, and global food security.
