American AgCredit is setting the stage for future growth and sustainability by announcing significant changes to its executive leadership team, effective January 2025.
“The new executive team members add varied experience and offer new perspective and ideas to accelerate us forward as we seek to provide value to America’s farmers and ranchers,” said CEO Curt Hudnutt.
The organization welcomes fresh expertise across five pivotal roles to drive innovation and customer-focused strategies.
- Chief Banking Officer-Elect – Lynn Scherler: Lynn Scherler steps into the role of Chief Banking Officer-Elect, preparing to take over from Gary Van Schuyver upon his retirement. Scherler, with 22 years of dedicated service within the Farm Credit System, has profoundly impacted the organization as Chief Alliance Officer, enhancing partnerships and scalable solutions for agricultural clients.
- Chief Customer Value Officer – Mike Lancaster: Mike Lancaster has been appointed as Chief Customer Value Officer, tasked with enriching customer engagement and value delivery. Lancaster’s journey in Farm Credit, from managing regional banking teams to spearheading business transformation initiatives, positions him well to bolster long-term customer relationships and profitability.
- Chief Transformation Officer – Dave Hoyt: Dave Hoyt joins as the new Chief Transformation Officer, bringing over three decades of strategic consulting expertise. Hoyt’s role will focus on enhancing operational efficiencies and integrating innovative technologies that align with the cooperative’s growth objectives.
- Chief Delivery Officer – Matt Jacobs: Matt Jacobs, who joined American AgCredit in 2021, will now serve as Chief Delivery Officer. His responsibilities include streamlining business strategy execution, managing change, and optimizing risk across the organization. Jacobs’ leadership in previous operational initiatives promises a more effective deployment of key services and products.
- Chief Business Technology Officer – Luke Massey: Luke Massey assumes the role of Chief Business Technology Officer, emphasizing the digital transformation journey of American AgCredit. His extensive experience in business technology within Farm Credit will be instrumental in developing solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational support.
