Media ArticleADAMA Ltd. has appointed Dr. Zhigang Hao as President and Chief Executive Officer and Sammy Leibowitz as Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Hao will assume the CEO role on Nov. 1, 2026, while Leibowitz will become CFO on Oct. 1, 2026.
Dr. Hao succeeds Gaël Hili, who is moving to Syngenta Group as President of Seeds. Hili will continue to support ADAMA as Chairman of the Boards of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. and ADAMA Ltd.
Before joining ADAMA, Dr. Hao served as CEO of Adisseo, where he gained extensive experience in global operations, business transformation, and corporate leadership. He will relocate from France to Israel as he takes on his new responsibilities.
The company also welcomed back Sammy Leibowitz, who currently serves as Global Head of Performance Acceleration at Syngenta Group. Previously, he spent more than 13 years at ADAMA in senior finance, strategy, and corporate development roles, helping drive key transformation initiatives.
Leibowitz replaces Efrat Nagar, who will leave the company on Sept. 30 after 22 years of service. During her tenure, Nagar held several senior finance leadership positions, including serving as Chief Financial Officer.
According to Syngenta Group leadership, the appointments are expected to support ADAMA's continued growth strategy by combining Dr. Hao's international operational experience with Leibowitz's deep financial expertise and knowledge of the company.
The leadership transition reflects ADAMA's focus on strengthening its global operations, supporting customers and farmers, and advancing sustainable, long-term growth in the crop protection industry.
