About the role

We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

We are looking for a livestock Territory Sales Manager to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis to manage the Eastern Rural client base and grow livestock sales across Southeast Queensland.

Eastern Rural Territory Sales Managers are experts in all-things livestock sales. Territory Sales Managers are responsible for assessing and preparing livestock for market, procuring livestock for Eastern Rural customers and being the key contact and subject matter expert for growing business for both Eastern Rural customers and the Eastern Rural business.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including:
  • Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clients
  • Identifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunities
  • Developing and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processors
  • Providing professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business
  • Employing tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together
  • Maximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community events


About you

  • Have a passion for livestock sales and an active interest in safe livestock handling

  • Aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to build new business
  • Have an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clients
  • Have either a Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation, or the willingness to become licensed.
