AgCareers.com Ag & Food Employer Guide Scholarship Winner Announced
June 06, 2013

AgCareers.com is excited to announce that Danielle Ashcraft is the winner of the 2012 AgCareers.com Employer Guide $1,000 Scholarship.

The latest edition of the Ag & Food Employer Guide for Students and Professionals, published in conjunction with AgriMarketing magazine, was released in September of 2012 as a resource guide for job seekers to compare businesses within the agriculture, food, biotechnology and natural resource industries and their opportunities for internships and employment.

Students were invited to scan the QR code on the publication by May 1, 2013 and enter for their chance to win a $1,000 scholarship from AgCareers.com.  Ashcraft’s entry was randomly selected as the winner.

She received a copy of the Employer Guide at the Utah State University Career Fair last March. The piece contains a variety of useful articles to help students and professionals as they go about their career search.  Ashcraft shared, “I really liked the Lets’ Talk Salary article, as that hit home about what we can expect.”   Ashcraft added that the articles on writing a cover letter and answering interview questions were “very helpful.”

Ashcraft is a rising senior at Utah State University majoring in Sustainable Agriculture – Interdisciplinary Studies.

“Each year we are excited to develop such a useful tool for students to utilize as they become better job seekers and young professionals in our industry, said Ashley Collins, AgCareers.com Education/Marketing Manager.  “We’re fortunate to reward this scholarship to help with educational expenses to a deserving future professional who is engaging early in the job search process,” added Collins.

Both a U.S. and Canadian version of the guide are available. Visit the Suite of Products page on the AgCareers.com site to download a free copy.
