Ames, IA – After a successful introductory event in 2009, which brought together more than 60 human resource professionals and university/college staff within the Western North America agriculture and food field, the need for a venue to continue to connect this group and discuss high interest issues regarding recruitment and retention within the industry became apparent. AgCareers.com is pleased to be holding the second Western North America Ag and Food HR Roundtable.
The roundtable will take place May 3 -5, 2010, in Monterey, CA, and is hosted by AgCareers.com, the leading provider of human resources services for the agriculture industry.
The conference schedule contains a variety of sessions including: The Economy’s Impact on Recruitment and Retention within Agriculture and Food, Workforce Planning for Success, Attracting Talent for a Plentiful Pipeline, The Use of Immigrant Labor as a Source of Talent, Building a Sustainable Workforce from Within, and much more. The program has been submitted to receive SHRM credits.
Beyond the educational sessions, last year’s participants said that the networking that happened at the event was invaluable.
Cost for an agribusiness professional to attend is $625 if registered before April 1, 2010 and $425 for university or college faculty.
