AgCareers.com Welcomes Four Collegiate Ambassadors to the Team in 2010  
 
AgCareers.com is excited to welcome our 2010 Collegiate Ambassadors. The Ambassador Program rotates across several universities with strong agriculture-related colleges, throughout North America. These students act as a liaison between AgCareers.com, AgCareers.com’s partnership clients, and their student body. Throughout the semester, ambassadors will educate their peers about the numerous career and internship opportunities posted on AgCareers.com by partnership clients, as well as important skills needed to achieve their ideal career in the agriculture industry.   Please join AgCareers.com in welcoming the 2010 Ambassadors. 
 
Meaghan Gonsalves is a senior at Auburn University, majoring in Equine Sciences. She will complete her degree in May of 2010 and either pursue a graduate level degree in Animal Sciences or stay to complete an Agriculture Business and Economics minor. She is very involved in Auburn’s College of Agriculture as she is the student worker in the Student Services Office for the college and she is an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the freshman level Agriculture Learning Community courses. She is a member of several elite honor societies at Auburn including Phi Eta Sigma, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Lambda Sigma. As a freshman, she received the Award of Merit from the Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society and has successfully maintained an academic scholarship her entire career at Auburn. She is an avid equestrian, and rides her horse daily.  She competes monthly, and won the ApHC Youth World Championship in Equitation over Fences and ApHC World Championship in Green Hunter in 2004. She hopes to use her equine experience and agricultural degree to make improvements in the safety and marketability of the show and racehorse industry.
 
Courtney Dickerson is a senior majoring in Agricultural Communication at Purdue University. In her time at Purdue she has been involved in Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, where she served as the social chairman. She is also a member of the Purdue Block and Bridle Animal Science Club. Courtney was inducted into the Alpha Zeta professional agricultural organization for exhibiting academic excellence. Miss Dickerson comes from a strong agricultural background, where she has been involved in various livestock production operations. Alongside her family, she has raised and shown beef and dairy cattle at the state and national level. Courtney served as the 2009 Indiana Junior Beef Cattle Association president, and has been on the board for 3 years. In the summer of 2009, she concluded her term on the American Junior Maine Association executive board. She also had the opportunity of serving as the National Maine Anjou Queen in 2006-2007. She was the marketing intern for the Indiana Wine Grape Council and the communication intern for the Purdue Agronomy Department. Courtney has also worked for the USDA- NASS as an enumerator for the past 2 years.
