Were hiring a Senior Research Associate!
Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture.
You will use your research/agricultural experience to serve as a team member in the Phenotyping team to conduct planning, planting, data collection and harvesting of Research Yield Trial activities.

You Will Be Part of a Growing Team

Your Challenge:
  • Works with group leader to plan and to execute experiments/trials efficiently and accurately.

  • Conducts experiments independently and in a timely manner.

  • Properly delegate all Yield Trial daily activities for your team for the successful completion of any required task by the required timeline.

  • Will be responsible for all the actions of trial locations in a specific area from seed preparation, planting, caring, data collection and harvesting
    Prior knowledge of crop dynamics is essential.

  • Interact within all programs at the station to keep all areas of responsibility organized for the betterment of the station.

  • Participate in improvement of safety programs and protocols (safety, efficiency, effectiveness) specific to direct work environment to identify and communicate potential risks and benefits.

  • Complete personal development activities as part of a performance management and development plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in agriculture or scientific related field plus 2-4 years industry related experience required.
  • Strong background in agronomy.
  • Proven ability to make timely decisions, solve problems and build consensus.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to supervise/handle multiple tasks at one time is critical
  • Technical and mechanical skills is a must for maintenance of agricultural equipment, to ensure excellent condition and safety of equipment and vehicles at any time.
  • Always comply with safety regulations and country laws, lead in way which will inspire all team members and follow the example.
  • High workload with long hours, regular travelling and weekend work during seasonal peaks.
  • Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather.
