Purpose of the Job

The Regulatory andStewardship (RAS) Specialist position will lead the registration successes ofseeds/biotech and crop protection products. The RAS country officer consultsthe business with the regulatory inputs and implications, deal with theexternal stakeholders and including the relevant regulators and industry toachieve product registration and product compliance



1.      Regulatory Affair

  • Compile, review, submit, follow up and track the registration applications and relevant product approvals of seed/biotech/crop protection product at Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
  • Coordinate with the authorized government agencies and Integrated Field Science team to timely generate the official trials of crop protection products complying with identified protocols and obtain the registration-related contracts and final reports of product testing as deemed necessary.
  • Proactive monitor and report/update the regulatory information/change and its possibility impact to registration and the business
  • Work and collaborate with the relevant authorities, other function, key stakeholders to facilitate products registration and product compliance in a good manner.
  • Plan the regulatory resources to facilitate registration of relevant products


2.      Take part in theproduct stewardship, product compliance and regulatory-related activities

-  Review,update and deliver the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of the existing and new productsby coordinating with the SDS Specialist and others.

-  Reviewthe commercial labels for regulatory compliance

-  Coordinatewith the Supply Chain and Customer Service team to ensure the regulatorycompliance for import and export.

-  Handlethe sample services and licenses for R&D purposes

-  Takepart in the relevant product stewardship program of seeds/biotech and cropprotection products led by the Product Stewardship team.


3.      StakeholderEngagement and Outreach

-  Buildnetworking to facilitate product registrations and acceptance of DowDuPontproducts.

-  SupportRAS country leader to implement RAS country plan and advocacy projects

-  Representthe company in assignment policy, regulatory, industry and academic meetings toadvocate company interests and positions.


4.      OtherResponsibilities

-  Activelyparticipate in LPCT country team to update of registration to relevant projects

-  Readyto support RAS country leader to implement any new assignment projects relatedto RAS department responsibility

-  Supportrelevant product registrations of seed/biotech/crop protection product in Cambodia

Job Requirement

  1. Bachelor or Master Degree (favorable) in Biotechnology, Crop protection, Agriculture, Toxicology, Agronomy, Entomology, Pathology, weed sciences, or any other plant sciences with relevant experience.
  2. Preferably with 5-6 years of experience in regulatory or related technical disciplines and with good understanding of regulatory framework and processes for agricultural or biotech products
  3. Ability to interpret regulatory requirements, analyze range of studies and extract relevant information for drafting of comprehensive dossiers for submission
  4. Fast learning abilities, cross-functional and cross-cultural working adaptation.
  5. Good organizational and project management skills and ability to work to deadlines
  6. Ability to periodically travel to physically Ha Noi to reach out stakeholders
  7. Good communication skill (both in Vietnamese and English)
  8. Good scientific and technical report writing skills
Computer proficient (wordprocessing, spreadsheets)
