As a Phenotyping Supervisor, you will plan and execute the safe and efficient day-to-day management of corn and soybean product development at the Miami, MO Research Center. You will be involved in all phases of planting, growing, phenotyping, and harvesting research materials to meet pre-commercial product advancement and data quality goals. You will adopt and implement evolving technologies and methodologies that enhance and improve product development. Responsibilities - What You'll Do: Lead and Develop People:

* Lead a team of phenotyping specialists and foster their professional development.

* Hire and lead contingent/temporary workforce and interns.

* Lead site safety culture and ensure adherence to safety standards.

* Organize and supervise the work of other employees.

* Maintain or improve efficient daily workplace operations.

* Provide guidance for employee development and career progression.

Participate in regional safety committees and audits, administer center-wide safety programs, and comply with all center and company policies and procedures. Next-Generation Phenotyping Leadership:

* Validate and ensure the accuracy of collected data.

* Maintain effective communication with research center staff in Miami, MO, and other scientists to ensure accurate data collection, adherence to timelines, and data quality for decision-making.

* Have a general understanding/interest in learning about mapping software, statistics, GPS/GIS systems, advanced drone technology, image analysis, and other relevant technologies.

* Use technology, including drones, iPads, and various software tools to collect, evaluate, and distribute data following detailed protocols.

* Summarize experiments, manage and analyze data.

* Work with the Ops Lead and regional team to plan collection, timing, and execution of all phenotyping notes for corn and soybeans.

* Explore opportunities for advanced phenotyping techniques and methodologies.

* Lead station efforts in seed inventory/winter nursery management and shipping.

* Communicate effectively with plot cooperators.

This role entails leadership in agriculture research and crop management, encompassing team development, crop management, breeding program support, and advanced data management for the benefit of the organization. QualificationsQualifications - What You'll Bring: Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in agriculture or a scientific field with 5+ years of experience in Agronomy, Biology, Plant Breeding, or a related field.

Technologically Savvy: Competency with standard Microsoft Office programs and the capacity to learn new technologies and software. Handling large volumes of data will be required.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.

Supervisory Skills: Demonstrated people management experience with the ability to teach and coach employees. Ability to work under minimum supervision, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks.

Results Driven: Demonstrated problem-solving skills, strategic analysis, and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to initiate projects, improvements, decisions, and problem-solving. Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.

Safety Oriented: Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to do physical lifting and work outdoors in varying ergonomic environments. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

* Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including shift work and overtime hours during seasonal peaks.

* Additional hours and weekends during seasonal peak periods, including some overnight stays.

* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to obtain CMV.

* Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 drone license.

* Ability to obtain appropriate pesticide applicator license/certification.
